An Arcola woman has enjoyed excellent support as she continues to try to help children. Kari Blatchford is participating in the Great Cycling Challenge to support the SickKids Foundation, which assists children fighting cancer.

The operative word is still 鈥渇luid.

A major storm moved through the 麻豆视频eastern part of Saskatchewan on Wednesday evening and into the morning Thursday, with heavy rain, some hail and damaging lightning.

Junior golfers were plying their skills on Aug. 6 at Golf Kenosee in a tournament organized by golf course manager Brent Lothian. The tournament was well attended, with 31 junior golfers putting their skills to the test.

Proud grandparents Norman and Dorothy Desautels were pleased to welcome their newest granddaughter, Ivy Elizabeth, who was born April 13, 2020. She is the daughter of Karlin and Brittany Desautels of Souris, Man. Congratulations everyone.

Brent Ryan, our Golfer of the Week, is from Regina. He was introduced to the game at four years of age on a family vacation at Clear Lake in Manitoba, and has enjoyed holding onto a club ever since.

The Saskatchewan Party government has been telling us for months now that COVID-19 means a new normal for all of us. But that new normal surely isn鈥檛 being applied to the re-opening of schools in this province in three weeks.
