A bass fishing event is coming to Boundary Dam this month, but it will be different from what people are used to. Bass Battles, sponsored by Tourism Estevan, is a catch photo release event that will be held from Sept. 18-27.

Students in the Â鶹ÊÓƵ East Cornerstone Public School Division returned on Sept. 8 and 9. In-person classes for the 2019-20 school year ending abruptly last March due to the uncertainty of the global pandemic.

The summer’s gone and harvest is coming in. A car tour went out to see it all last week. Drivers were Mary Thiessen, Bree Anne Moore, Pastor Alex and Amber.

The Canadian curling season begins in August and ends in May 2021 and is governed by Curling Canada, which was formerly the Canadian Curling Association.

The Ramada hotel in Carlyle reopened to guests on Sept. 1 after being closed by owner Eric Park on Mar. 27 when the COVID-19 pandemic arrived.

Twelve years ago, the Redvers Activity Centre [RAC] had received three bathtubs for two of their group homes they manage. The tubs originally come from Safety Bath, which is now operating out of Lethbridge, Alta.

Projects are now underway in all oil and gas-producing regions of the province through the Accelerated Site Closure Program (ASCP) that was announced by the provincial government earlier this year.

The provincial government announced Wednesday the distribution of $70.3 million to municipal governments to help out with COVID-19 pandemic relief, as Saskatchewan’s portion of the federal Safe Restart Canada Plan.
