Mary Anne Veroba is a lifelong hockey fan. She recalls that when she was a child, she would watch the Montreal Canadiens play the Boston Bruins on Hockey Night in Canada while in the basement of her parents’ home in Windsor, Ont.

Sympathy to Evelyn Downer and family on the passing of Len. Len passed away at home on Nov. 22 at the age of 86 years. A funeral service will be planned at a later date. Although he is gone, his music will live on.

The Alida community extends sincere sympathy to all members of the Martel family on the death of Nola Martel, late of Regina and formerly of Carlyle, who passed away on Nov. 25.

The White Bear First Nation is in lockdown after a member of the on-reserve community tested positive for COVID-19 last week. In a letter posted to the White Bear Health Facebook page on Nov. 26, Chief Nathan Pasap said the person was hospitalized.
