Provincial cattle markets have decreased
A total of 12,772 head of cattle were sold in Saskatchewan the week ending February 24. This is down from 13,406 head sold the previous week, and down from 17,210 head the same week a year ago.

Notekeu championship final is tied up
The Notekeu League championship final between the Assiniboia Rebels and the Mossbank Blades got underway on March 3 and 4 with both teams coming away with a win. In game one, Mossbank won 4-3 at the Assiniboia Civic Centre on March 3.

Successful Canada 150 celebration at St. Paul’s Church
St. Paul’s United Church was one of the first venues to open the Canada 150 celebrations in Assiniboia. The parish held its Canada 150 banquet on February 24 and welcomed 100 guests for the meal. This event was a fundraiser for the church.
