REGINA — Summer in Regina officially kicked off with the opening of Wascana Pool on Thursday, June 5. The lap pool was ready for swimmers by 7 a.m., while the leisure pool, water slides and hot tub were expected to open the following day, Friday, June 6, following a brief pause in filling caused by voluntary water restrictions.

Buffalo Meadows, Maple Leaf, Massey and Regent pools are scheduled to open on June 12.

The city’s outdoor pools offer a variety of programming for all ages, including swimming lessons, leisure swims and designated swim times for preschoolers, teens and families. Wascana Pool is also set to host its popular late-night swim events throughout the summer. Event details are available at .

Free swimming is offered all summer long at Maple Leaf and Buffalo Meadows pools. Each location has its own schedule and list of programs.

For those seeking more ways to cool down, city-owned spray pads are open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All pool openings were subject to change. Residents are encouraged to check or follow the city’s social media channels for updates, full pool schedules, admission fees and spray pad locations.
