Expect road restrictions Monday and Tuesday

Starting at 7 a.m., Dewdney Ave will be closed for over four months.

REGINA - Watch for traffic restrictions Monday and Tuesday in Regina.

The City of Regina says that between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, multiple streets will be closed for a special event. 

13th Avenue – Athol Street to Elphinstone Street 

14th Avenue – Garnet Street to Athol Street 

Athol Street – 14th Avenue to 13th Avenue  

Elphinstone Street – 13th Avenue to 17th Avenue 

On Tuesday, the following restrictions are expected to be in place:

Albert Street North and Ring Road  

The southbound lane on the Albert Street North overpass will be closed for one day to complete emergency repair work. All southbound traffic from HWY 6 will be detoured onto the Ring Road westbound ramp to accommodate this closure. Road users can use Argyle Street as a detour to get back to Albert Street. Lane closures on Ring Road will occur intermittently during the project.   

 

Dewdney Avenue - Lorne Street to Cornwall Street

Starting at 7 a.m., Dewdney Ave will be closed for over four months while crews work on underground infrastructure for the Dewdney Ave Revitalization Project. 

 

Winnipeg Street – 13th Avenue to Victoria Avenue 

Between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Winnipeg St northbound will be restricted while crews complete concrete work. 

 

Winnipeg Street – Arcola Avenue to Victoria Avenue 

Between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Winnipeg St southbound will be restricted while crews complete concrete work. 

 

Transit riders are encouraged to check with Regina Transit to determine if any restrictions or closures impact their routes or bus stops.
