REGINA — As part of its organic pest control program, the City of Regina plans to give out more than 200,000 ladybugs for release Thursday, July 10.

The annual event is set for 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Victoria Park, and is a free everyone-welcome family-friendly activity.

Learn about ladybugs and what they do to keep trees and plants healthy. Get your ladybugs and release them in the park, at home in your yard, or at a nearby greenspace.

Ladybug-themed attire is encouraged, and treats will be provided by Northgate Bakery while supplies last.

Daycares, preschools and their chaperones can ride public transit for free by simply telling the driver they are heading to Victoria Park for the ladybug event, says the City of Regina.
