Yesterday, Labour Day, Ed called from Saskatchewan. He was ready to harvest, but his crops were not fully ripe. He said the weather would determine how quickly he would be in his fields.

I鈥檓 overwhelmed with all that鈥檚 going on, as are so many, and yet I find myself searching for a topic to write about this week.

But the federal government and most provinces have failed to help the hospitality sector. Only New Brunswick is making a difference

Most, if not all world religions have among their basic principles what we sometimes refer to as The Golden Rule; 鈥淒o unto others as you would have them do unto you鈥�.

It is September and back to school. Well, you know the rest of the story. Sunday morning Aug. 30 we were happy to have a Bible college student, Matthew Cunningham, share in the morning service.

Yesterday, Ed asked me, 鈥淲hy do nice people die early and scumbags last way too long?鈥� I could not give him an answer. It does seem the death of the nice folks we know seems way too soon for our liking. Answers to why questions may never satisfy.
