The AAA Battlefords Sharks season has come to an end after a series sweep against the top team in the Saskatoon Stars. This year was a tough campaign for the ladies in white and teal.

After an incredible season, finishing first place in the Finning Division and in the SJHL on an 11-game win streak, two North Stars were awarded yearly awards.

The Battlefords AAA Stars season has ended after falling to the first place Regina Pat Canadians in the opening round of the SMAAAHL playoffs.

First it was Chloe Marshall, then Shelby Tornato. Now Landry Derdall has committed to play hockey at the next level for the Battlefords Sharks.

The Stars incredible second half run has now come to an abrupt end. After losing game two, 2-0, the Battlefords travelled to Regina for game three and to settle the opening tilt of the series.

"They have each others backs, and they will not let anything come between them, they are a team! They are brothers."

After many tough nights and disappointing performances the Humboldt Broncos are starting to turn the corner. They played a pair of home games this week and despite only a 1-1 record they played really solid games both times.

A native of Humboldt is a provincial champion again. Dustin Kalthoff and his partner Sherry Anderson took home top honours at the Saskatchewan Mixed Doubles Curling Championships held in Regina, Feb. 18-21.
