There鈥檚 seemingly no slowing down the Battlefords North Stars.

The Twin Rivers Curling Club hosted the Junior Slam Classic, sponsored by Northland Power from Dec. 2 to 4. There were two divisions, Under 18 and Under 15, which were comprised of 19 teams from across the province.

A mix of youth and experience is the main story for the junior basketball programs at John Paul II Collegiate and North Battleford Comprehensive High School this season.

If it wasn鈥檛 for a disastrous opening to the night for the Battlefords AAA Stars, the outcome of their game with the Prince Albert Mintos might have been different.

It鈥檚 a big jump from playing in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League to being on the ice in the Western Hockey League. That鈥檚 especially true when you鈥檙e playing for a team that many are expecting to be in the league final, at worst, this spring.
