Outdoor sports in Saskatchewan can start up sooner than expected. On May 25, the province announced it was moving outdoor sports from Step 2 of its reopening plan to Step 1, which starts Sunday, May 30.

The Battlefords North Stars are extending the contract of head coach and general manager Brayden Klimosko. It was announced on the North Stars’ Facebook page that the club and Klimosko had agreed to terms on a three-year extension.

The Battlefords North Stars have seen another one of its valued players commit to a university hockey program. Timon Prexler has committed to Maryville Saints Ice Hockey of the American Collegiate Hockey Association for the upcoming season.

The Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association plans to return after a pandemic-cancelled 2020 season, and North Battleford is scheduled to be their first stop back.

The Battlefords North Stars are congratulating one of their star players on his signing with Red Deer College. The Red Deer College Kings announced Steele had committed to their hockey program for 2021/22.
