This month the artist showcase at the Humboldt & District Museum & Gallery is a bit different than in months past.

A void in the community of Humboldt will be filled, at least for the next little while. Four local organizations have been awarded a grant to use, in partnership, toward addressing literacy needs of area residents.

The Battlefords Art Club is preparing for its annual fall show and sale entitled "Sparkle With Art" on Friday Nov. 1 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Chapel Gallery.
