As per the Dekker Centre’s mandate, Moe McGuinty brings a number of different acts to the performing arts centre each season representing a number of different genres. The musical variety, especially within rock music, reflects the times.

Blake Berglund and Melanie Hankewich (Belle Plaine) may have started their musical journeys separately but it did not take long before their musical paths became intertwined.

The Flippin’ Fiddler cannot recall how many years he has performed in Humboldt. But he can add another show onto that total with a show at the Humboldt Legion on May 19.

It was in September 1967 that the St. Peter’s Chorus came together under the direction of Al Gerwing. Now 50 years later, they will be celebrating this achievement with a 50th anniversary weekend celebration April 28-30.

The Fortunate Ones concert saw a full Humboldt and District Gallery house on April 5, sponsored by Causeway Health.

Theatre Saskatchewan has announced the adjudicator for TheatreFest 2017 being held in North Battleford and hosted by Battlefords Community Players. Will Brooks, artistic producer of Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan will be judging the performances.

A fundraiser for the Battlefords Canadian Mental Health Association will be held at The Gog Saturday, April 8 featuring local band Backroads.

The Fortunate Ones are on their way back to Saskatchewan. The Newfoundland team of Catherine Allan and Andrew James O’Brien enjoyed nine shows during the first leg of their Organization of Saskatchewan Art Councils tour.

Fittingly, for the month with St. Patrick's Day, The Fitzgerald Family Band – parents Pam and Paddy, kids Tom, Kerry and Julie, and lead vocalist Nate Douglas – make their return to the Dekker Centre March 24.
