The Humboldt Collegiate Institute football team fell in its season-opening tilt, the Seniors Girls volleyball team won the Wakaw tournament last weekend, and the two golf teams are preparing to compete.

Former Mohawks players are making the journey home as the Humboldt Collegiate Institute team plans to celebrate its 50th season at a home game on Sept. 17.

Coach Craig Dickenson summed up the state of the Riders after their loss to the Blue Bombers in the Banjo Bowl by stating Winnipeg is quite a bit better than the Riders right now. He then stated he believes the Riders will get better. 

The catalytic converters were stolen from company vehicles parked at a business in Kinistino.
