Hello. I’m back in a new month and a new season, spring. In March we had another great GGMH hymn sing with 24 in attendance. There were solos from visitors, duets, a trio and, of course, group singing. Why not come along and join us April 25 at 6 p.

Remembrance or celebration? Simply put, it depends on reasons and attitudes. I certainly have experienced them both this year and both have affected my life forever.

A name change is happening for the Boys and Girls Clubs of The Battlefords. It has changed its name to BGC Battlefords. The name change was announced last week and the reason cited is a bid to be more inclusive.

There may not be an Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season for the Battlefords North Stars, but the North Stars are getting a second chance to play — in an upcoming esports tournament. The SJHL announced they are starting the Best in Sask.

Two suspects have been arrested after a vehicle was stolen in North Battleford by demanding keys from the owner. At approximately 7:20 a.m. Sunday, an unknown subject entered a residence and demanded vehicles keys from the property owner.

When we go into Awinter with a heavy snowfall before the ground is fully frozen, we expect to see more snow mold in the early spring.

The COVID-19 report for April 3 saw 18 new cases reported in the North West zone. That was an increase of five from yesterday. Hospitalizations are up two to nine. Twelve more people have recovered – five more than have tested positive.
