As a reporter, I get to do something new every day, whether it is covering the news in court, being at a political event, touring a new power plant being built or covering a fire. July 22, I did something extraordinarily different.

WPD ambulance received a call just after midnight for a two vehicle collision on Highway 16 west bound at the Westwood Cemetery July 29. Five patients were transported to Battlefords Union Hospital.

This wasn't the year the Blue Jays were expected to win the division or compete for the wild card and so they haven't under or over achieved any this point, but they have been exciting to follow.

David Smith, Cody Mooswa appeared in North Battleford Court Thursday, July 29 via video call at 11 p.m. There is an update ordered for Smith who has been serving time for many charges including an indecent act and sexual assault.

For Janis Wychopen, one of many North Battleford residents affected by the July 22 hailstorm, it wasn't the loss of her washer, dryer or furnace that had devastating consequences, but the loss of mementos of a son who passed away.
