Lots to see and do on Hawaiian cruise

Colleen and Norma Wicks left Speers March 12 for their trip to Hawaii, flying from Saskatoon to Denver, then on to San Diego where they spent the night. They left San Diego the next day on the Holland America ship Vaandam.

City hires Parks and Rec director

Longtime city employee Keith Anderson has been hired as the new Parks and Recreation Director. City Manager Jim Toye announced the appointment at Monday night's city council meeting.

Two fires in North Battleford kept fire fighters busy Saturday, April 9. A vehicle was discovered on fire in the rear parking lot of North Battleford Comprehensive High School at a little after four in the morning.

Sharks dip into future talent pool

The Battlefords AAA Sharks rebuilding process continued on the weekend, as head coach Jean Fauchon and his staff hosted 24 skaters for two ice sessions and four scrimmages. The spring evaluation camp was intense according to Fauchon.
