The town of Bredenbury has launched its own junior hockey club. The Bredenbury Tundra held its spring camp last weekend as they prepare for their inaugural season in the Qu’Appelle Valley Junior Hockey League – a junior ‘C’ league in Saskatchewan.

More than 100 people came out to celebrate the Yorkton RawTec Maulers on Saturday, Mar. 25 at the Gallagher Centre.

The Yorkton Midget AA Kinsmen Terriers are the 2017 Â鶹ÊÓƵ Saskatchewan Minor Hockey League Midget champions. The Kinsmen Terriers beat the Estevan Apex AA Bruins in the league final.

The Yorkton Terriers’ season came to an end on Friday, Mar. 24. In game five of their best-of-seven series against the Estevan Bruins, the Terriers fell short and lost their fourth game.

The Yorkton Terriers held their 2016-2017 season ending banquet on Monday, Mar. 27 at the Gallagher Centre. The banquet acted as both a fundraiser and an award ceremony for the junior A hockey club.

The Bredenbury Tundra Junior Hockey Club will be joining the Qu’appelle Valley Junior Hockey League in the fall for the 2017/2018 season.

The quarterfinals are underway for the Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. The Terriers finished the regular season in sixth place, which matched them up with the third place Estevan Bruins in quarterfinals.

The Yorkton RawTec Maulers AAA Midget program is in existence so the Yorkton and surrounding Parkland region have the opportunity to experience the highest level of minor hockey in Canada, according to their board.

About one hour east of Yorkton is Ituna – a small town that has recently received a huge recognition. Ituna is one of two communities in Canada chosen as finalists for the Kraft Hockeyville competition.

The Yorkton RawTec Maulers’ season has come to an end. After making it to the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League semi-finals, the first-place Regina Pat Canadians were able to sweep the best-of-five series against the Maulers.
