It was another three-win week for the Yorkton Terriers including a pair at the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Showcase event on the weekend.

The Springside Parkland Lions will be hosting the Russian Moscow Atlant in a holiday season exhibition game on Dec. 21 at 7:30p.m. Tickets are currently available at a cost of $6 and are being sold by members of the team.

Robyn Silvernagle, Sasha Yole, Dayna Demmans and Cristina Goertzen all made the trip to Yorkton over the weekend representing Meadow Lake and went undefeated in a local cashspiel over the weekend.

Two members of the Yorkton Terriers earned Player of the Month honours for November in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. Veteran Devin Peters earned Goaltender of the Month, and defenceman Davis Vandane has been awarded Rookie of the Month.

The only thing better than eights ends is nine ends. Gerry Adam and his team returned to their home rink over the weekend and for eight ends it was clearly anyone's game.

Our family spent the weekend in Regina for a soccer tournament, and, I usually have a great time; although this particular visit left me a little unsatisfied. The soccer tournament was excellent; but our hotel stay had a couple of problems.
