Native of Yorkton, curler Amber Holland and her team were recently awarded the Sask Sport Inc., Athlete(s) of the Month for March following their success this past winter.

The Yorkton Soccer Association (YSA) is holding a referee clinic on May 7 at the Sacred Heart High School, says president, Chuck Tysowski. The YSA is hoping to add to its number of officials this spring/summer soccer season.

The Boston Pizza Yorkton Regional High School Female Student of the Month for April is Danielle Thurston. Danielle is a grade 12 student at the YRHS. She has been on the 80+ honor roll every semester of high school since grade nine.

On May 1, Punnichy RCMP received a report of a missing person from the Muskowekwan First Nation. The missing male is Cody Ridge Wolfe, 17 years old. Wolfe was last seen at his grandmother's residence on April 29th at 10:30 pm.

It was nice to see Melissa Antony home from Berlin. She arrived in Calgary where she visited with her aunt Linda and Dwayne Maser and family. She then went on to Jasper where her brother Ryan is working.
