Chuckwagon and chariot races were the highlight of the Preeceville Lions Club Western Weekend on July 10 to 12. The races were threatened by a few rain clouds but avid fans waited through the rain to watch the races.

A co-ed slo-pitch tournament on July 11, during the Preeceville Lions Western Weekend, attracted 13 teams. Dig Deep defeated CTK to win the A side and Westside defeated Renslip for the win on the B side.
