Chuckwagon and chariot races were the highlight of the Preeceville Lions Club Western Weekend on July 10 to 12. The races were threatened by a few rain clouds but avid fans waited through the rain to watch the races.

Science-crazy kids don鈥檛 have to worry about being bored this summer. The Royal Saskatchewan Muse-um (RSM) has coordinated an array of activities for active, curious, young people.

A co-ed slo-pitch tournament on July 11, during the Preeceville Lions Western Weekend, attracted 13 teams. Dig Deep defeated CTK to win the A side and Westside defeated Renslip for the win on the B side.

It isn鈥檛 a secret in the agriculture industry that cattle prices have been at historic highs over the past couple of years. One of the driving factors for the high prices has simply been a shortage of beef.
