For all the talk about the Saskatchewan economy slowing down, it sure doesn't look that way in of late.

Dear Editor: I recently came across a column in your publication by Thom Barker entitled "Guns (out of) Control".

Lunar eclipses are not exactly rare occurrences. In fact, in any given year, there will be between two and five. It makes sense that they would be quite common. Like all objects hit by light, the Earth casts a shadow.

Dear Editor: I am writing in regards to an article posted by one of your reporters in regards to the Swiss arms Rifle in the article entitled "Guns out of Control", it is really full of mis-information and basic anti-gun hysteria .

View from the Cheap Seats is kind of an extension of the newsroom. Whenever our three regular reporters, Calvin Daniels, Thom Barker and Randy Brenzen are in the building together, it is frequently a site of heated debate.

Economic development is an essential element of city growth. Without it a population does not grow. New Trades and Technology Centres are not needed. A new hospital would not be required.

That we would be heading into another battle in Saskatchewan over public vs. private ownership is not surprising. This long-standing feud between left and right and everyone else that gets caught in the middle has been off and on for decades now.

April 22nd is Earth Day. So what, we may ask? What does having an Earth Day marked around the world even mean? For some Earth Day is just another day like any other whereby we go about our daily business.

CBC is being cut again. This time it is 657 positions over two years to deal with a $130 million budget shortfall. I'm sure there are many people-mostly Conservatives and conservatives-who are gleefully wringing their hands over this latest news.
