The Gloria Hayden Community Centre's spring and summer hours of operation (May 17-Sept. 6) are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-12 noon, and 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Closed on weekends and statutory holidays.

The Yorkton Junior Bulldogs were that close to a three-peat as Tier II Junior B lacrosse champions.

U14 Fury FC plays in their final tournament

The U14 Fury Yorkton United soccer club just recently traveled to Regina June 18-20 to compete in the Queen City Challenge Cup tournament. This time, the team consisted of 11 regular squad members and two guest players from the U14 girls' squad.

Junior Cards

The Alexander's Yorkton Junior Cardinals have four games in hand this week. Last night, they were scheduled to host the Melville Bison at Jubilee Park.

Baseball

The Yorkton Jr. Cardinals are to host the 2010 Junior AAA baseball championships. They will be held July 30-Aug. 1 at Jubilee Park.

Cards have winning streak snapped

The Yorkton Cardinals had won four straight road games in the Western Major Baseball League before hosting Melville Monday at Jubilee Park. The Millionaires would end the streak with a 6-1 win, leaving Yorkton with a 10-12 record on the season.

Jr. Cards hold off Supers in doubleheader

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ East Senior Baseball League action made one of its few appearances at Yorkton's Jubilee Park going into the Canada Day holiday and Yorkton was able to take two of a possible two wins against their Canora Supers opponents.
