YRHS Raider seniors knock off Kougars in vball final
The YRHS survived an eight-team round robin and went on to defeat the Kincaid Kougars in the finals to capture Sacred Heart's Senior Boys' volleyball tournament over the weekend.

Saints' season ends with a second title
The only thing better than one is two. That's what the Saints of Sacred Heart got at the East Central Districts junior girls' volleyball tournament this past weekend. For the second year in a row, the Saints were perfect at this tournament.

SHHS senior girls win
The Sacred Heart senior girls' volleyball team competed in a 13-team tournament in Weyburn this past weekend. The Lady Saints began the tournament defeating Meadow Lake in two straight 25-17 and 25-16.

Bantams play Oilers at Kinsmen Arena
In the lone hockey game played in Yorkton over the weekend, the Yorkton Terrier AA Bantam hockey team played Regina at the Kinsmen Arena on Friday. Head coach Damon Kustra was not happy the way his team played.

Terriers beat Klippers in OT
The Yorkton Terriers played a pair of road games last week, returning home with a split in the two games. The split left the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League franchise with a record of 8-5-1-2 and 19 points best in the Sherwood Conference.

The 2A girls soccer Regionals were held Saturday Oct 23, 2010 at Sacred Heart High school. Four teams took part in the tournament for a chance to advance to next weekend's provincial tournament in Humboldt.

Entire CFL starting to get interesting as Hamilton beats Als
A little more than one year ago the CFL standings were like night and day, going by both decisions. The east was tight as Montreal led the division but not by much. Toronto, Hamilton and Winnipeg were not all that far behind.
