YRHS grads already awaiting next season

After going through his redshirt freshman year in Saskatoon, Logan Wilk is ready for more. Following his final year as a member of the Yorkton Regional football program, he accepted the invitation to join the university ranks.

Bantams end year with a win and loss at home

The Bantam AA Terriers played a pair of home games over the weekend, beating the Regina Canucks 3-2 then falling to Swift Current Raiders, 5-1. They also played the Regina Oilers and lost 4-1, said Damon Kustra, coach of the Bantam Terriers.

Sports HOF

The Yorkton Sports Hall of Fame is starting to accept for next year's induction dinner. Please contact Community Development Park and Recreation for nomination forms. The deadline for nominations to be made will be Jan. 28, 2011.

Harvest

The Yorkton Harvest AAA hockey club is coming off an overtime loss Sunday to the league's top team, Prince Albert. The league is now on Christmas break.

Snowmobile club warning for riders

The Yorkton Sno-Riders wish to advise everyone to please exercise caution when attempting to cross ditches and other low level areas where excess water may be due to the higher then normal moisture levels this past fall.

The Yorkton Harvest AAA hockey club has been undefeated in regulation time through three games going back to an OT loss in Saskatoon recently. They put together a pair of victories over the weekend at home against Beardy's.
