The Cab Clothing Yorkton Regional High School Female Athlete of the Month for April is Jessica Riffel. She has been on the wrestling team since grade nine, where she went to provincials and placed fourth.

The 2011 golf schedule has been released by Deer Park Municipal golf course and includes 12 dates to mark on your calendars. The season has just started and the first date to mark is May 27 for the 20th Annual Richie Hall classic.

The Alexander Mens Wear Junior Cardinals are back for another season, and with the possibility there of an exhibition game this weekend at Jubilee Park, head coach Brian Trollope said the team is ready to go.

On April 6 in Canora, Rita Fetsch competed in her first high school career badminton tournament and won a gold medal in girls' singles. On April 11, Morgan Shymanski won what would be her first of four gold medals of the season.
