The annual Craft Sale and Trade Show is Sat., Nov. 5 at Saltcoats Town Hall from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. There is chili on a bun for noon lunch. A loonie gets you in the door and a chance at the door prizes. Sun., Nov. 6, 2:00 p.m.

Knox United Church will have a roast beef luncheon on Wed., Oct. 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Take out orders available. Dinner will be in the church basement. Knox United Church will be having a craft show on Sat., Nov.

Dave and Gloria Herron travelled to Abbortsford, BC for a week to visit Lorne and Julianne Herron. While there they attended the Abbortsford airshow and travelled to Vancouver to visit Stanley Park and many other interesting sites.

The monthly community potluck for August was held on Wed., Aug. 10. There was a good turnout and everyone visited while they enjoyed the selection of tasty dishes brought for the supper table.

Saltcoats Museum needs roofing! Fundraiser Pancake Breakfast will be hosted at Laketown Leaders Stirling Room on Monday, Sept. 5, 8:00a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The cost is $5.00 a person with family rate of $20.

Well, the Calder Good Neighbour Centre has been busy for a month or so. The winners of the Whist Drives were: 1st- Norman Wozney, 2nd- Mildred Danylko, 3rd- Donna Fustey, low- Ann Mostowar.

Mark your calendars now. A Bredenbury "Octoberfest" will be held Fri., October 7 and Sat., October 8. Lots of fun and activities both days. Dance to the "Crawdaddies" Sat. night from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Seniors Dance "Memory Lane" 8 p.m.-11 p.m. Sat.

Bert & Gloria Parons of Dauphin, MB visited Jim & Ann Purves and also attended the funeral of Albert Dressler and visited friends and relatives in the area.

The Rink Board would like to thank all who attended and helped at the Rink Benefit Garage Sale and hotdog stand on Saturday. We netted $580.00.

Merle McLachlan and her sister Lynne Taylor spent the weekend with Adrian and Louise McLachlan.
