On the early morning of August 21 there was an unidentified male checking vehicle doors near the area of Mary Street and Johnston Crescent in Canora. At this time, there are no identified suspects. RCMP are asking the public to provide any information to assist with this investigation. RCMP are also warning the public to continue to secure their vehicles and residences and to report any suspicious activity. The public can contact the Canora/Sturgis RCMP detachment at 306-563-4700.

Theft of van

Between the evening of August 19 and the morning of August 20, a white Ford E-250 work van was stolen from a residence in Preeceville. The van was abandoned one mile west of Preeceville, and had plumbing tools stolen from inside. Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to contact the Canora/Sturgis RCMP.

Vandalism at snowmobile shack

The Canora/Sturgis RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in solving a vandalism incident. Sometime between August 11 and August 18, the Trakkers Snowmobile Shack in Canora was broken into and vandalized. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Canora/Sturgis RCMP.

Vehicle break-in reported

On August 18, a vehicle on Highway Avenue in Preeceville was broken into and items were stolen. The Canora/Sturgis RCMP are reminding the public to make sure to keep their vehicles locked. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is asked to contact the Canora/Sturgis RCMP.

Sturgis garage break-in

The public’s assistance has been requested in solving a break-in which occurred in Sturgis. On August 18, a garage on Macneil Crescent was broken into. Anyone with any information regarding this or any other crime is asked to contact the Canora/Sturgis RCMP.

Damage to RM sign

The Canora/Sturgis RCMP are looking for assistance in solving a crime which occurred on the evening of August 18. A sign in the RM of Keys was shot 27 times with a shotgun. Anyone with any information related to this crime is asked to contact the Canora/Sturgis RCMP.

Theft of generator

The Canora/Sturgis RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in solving the following crime. Between July 1 and July 22,a 6500W black-and-yellow Champion generator was stolen from the back of a pickup truck on Charter Avenue in Canora. Anyone with any information about this crime, or any crime, is asked to please contact the Canora/Sturgis RCMP at 306-563-4700.
