Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) and the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission want to remind people who are buying or selling a property that a real estate agent has obligations they must abide by when hired by a client.
鈥淚t鈥檚 important that people know real estate agents have important legal responsibilities to their client,鈥� Insurance and Real Estate Director Ian McIntosh said.聽 鈥淎gents must take steps to ensure disclosure of all material facts relating to a property up front, and they must present all written offers in a prompt, objective and unbiased manner.鈥�
All real estate agents must be registered with the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission.
鈥淭rading in real estate in Saskatchewan is regulated by the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission,鈥� Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission Executive Director Aaron Tetu said.
