The late Steve Boychuk, a former fire chief at Kamsack, was honoured during the Saskatchewan Association of Fire Chiefs annual conference and trade show in Prince Albert April 26 to 30.

Kamsack and area now has prime access to artistic reclaimed/upcycled unique products, inspired by 鈥渁ll things Parisienne鈥� and coupled with flair.

A Kamsack air cadet has been presented with the highest award which can be bestowed upon a cadet in recognition of exemplary performance in physical and military training.

The Sturgis Lacrosse team, which includes players from Kamsack, Norquay and Pelly, has been practicing for its first game which was played yesterday (May 24) against Yorkton.

Twenty-eight students in grades 5 to 7 at the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute are participating in the school鈥檚 peewee football program. The Spartan peewee football team began practices during the last week of April, said Tyler Lorenzo, the coach.

Of the more than 450 employees of the Sunrise Health Region who have reached significant five-year milestones in their employment, 38 are employees at Kamsack and they were recognized during a reception held in their honour last week.

Of the three Kamsack women attending the Grand Chapter of Saskatchewan Order of the Eastern Star Painting the Stars session, one was in the choir, one was a page to the Most Worthy Grand Patron and one was elected Grand Ada.
