At least one Kamsack home has taken on an extreme festive appearance with dancing colourful lights and inflatable Christmas characters that mimic a children鈥檚 fantasy playground.

Once again as a pre-Christmas ritual, students of the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute are busy raising funds and encouraging residents to support them as they endeavour to fill several hampers with food that will be distributed to students鈥� families

I write this with grieving in my heart. I was standing in the doorway of a hospital room a few days ago, about to visit a patient, when a call came on my cellphone.

The Kamsack Recreation Board has its eyes set on winning $10,000; the only catch being lots and lots of people have to do lots and lots of moving around for 10 days in March.

Calvin Straightnose was elected chief of Keeseekoose First Nation following polling on November 25. Straightnose obtained 239 votes, according to the statement of results from Loretta J. Pete Lambert, the returning officer.

A 1987 graduate of the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute, who has American as well as Canadian citizenship, has distinguished himself as a scientist.

In spite of Santa Claus not being able to visit Kamsack with a few of his reindeer, as has been the custom for the annual Santa Claus parade, the event was 鈥渧ery positive.
