The Sturgis Composite High School Class of 鈥�95 gathered on July 12 to mark its 20th high school reunion! It started at the SCHS with a school tour hosted by Kristen Peterson, one of the teachers at the school.

The Harvard 606 Air Cadet Squadron held an annual registration and information evening at the Preeceville Legion Hall on September 8. It was held in conjunction with the Town of Preeceville registration and informational evening.

Even though Grandparents鈥� Day is not a national holiday in Canada it is still widely celebrated as a day to spend some time with a grandparent.

The Kamsack Community Arts Council has issued a call to community residents to participate in the annual Culture Day on September 26.

Garlic, that wonderful herb that adds great flavour to many savoury dishes and is known for its medicinal properties, was celebrated at Kamsack鈥檚 second annual Hint of Garlic Festival and Trade Show on Sunday.

Representatives of nine community groups attended the all-events registration at Broda Sportsplex on September 10. 鈥淚t was very, very well attended,鈥� said Kev Sumner, Kamsack鈥檚 recreation director.

York Colony Quilter鈥檚 Guild Meetings start Wed., Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. at the Western Development Museum. All quilting, sewing & crafting fans invited and bring a friend. Meetings continue each Wednesday thereafter.

The Norquay Horticultural Show was held at the Norquay Communiplex on August 12. A total of 13 exhibitors submitted 227 entries for the event which was judged by Karen Leis of Runnymede, a qualified Saskatchewan Horticultural Association judge.
