Children’s author scores with football-themed picture book

SHAUNAVON — Prairie author Melanie Larson brings the magic of Saskatchewan football to life in her newest release, The Day I Went to My First Football Game—a heartfelt, humorous story about brothers experiencing their first-ever CFL game.

The fourth book in the Adventures of the Barnyard Boys series, this story captures the spirit of childhood wonder, brotherhood and provincial pride. From the excitement of wearing green jerseys to the roar of the crowd at Mosaic Stadium, readers will cheer right along with the Barnyard Boys as they discover the thrill of football—and the strength of family.
