WEYBURN – Weyburn police have arrested two suspects in connection with the theft of vehicles from a local dealership and repair shop last week.

The investigation began on July 3, when officers responded to a report of a cut lock at the Great Plains Ford compound and the theft of a truck. Through an extensive investigation, police obtained video surveillance footage from businesses in Rouleau, helping identify the suspects.

With assistance from the Moose Jaw Police Service, police tracked down a male and female suspect, who were later located by Carnduff RCMP in the stolen vehicle. Both were taken into custody and held for court in Estevan on July 7.

Earlier that same day, another vehicle was reported stolen from a local repair shop and was later found abandoned behind Great Plains Ford. Police believe the same suspects are responsible, and the investigation remains ongoing. Charges are pending.
