The Saskatchewan Rush are champions of the National Lacrosse League again, getting past the Buffalo Bandits 11-10 in Game 2 of the Champions Cup final. Jeff Cornwall scored the game-winning goal with 12 seconds left in regulation.

The Bandits outshot the Rush 57-54 in the game. This is the Rush’s second straight championship, as their first one came when they were the Edmonton Rush.

In the Western Major Baseball League, the Regina Red Sox lost to the Weyburn Beavers 3-2 in a close game. The Red Sox are in a tie for second place in the East Division.

The Toronto Blue Jays took two of three games from the Boston Red Sox over the weekend in Major League Baseball action. The Jays are in third place in the American League East Division.

In NCAA Baseball, the No. 3 Florida Gators hammered the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 10-1 in Game 6 of the Gainesville Regionals. The Gators are off to the super regionals where they will draw the Florida State Seminoles in a best-of-three series.

In the Arena Football League, the Philadelphia Soul beat the Jacksonville Sharks 56-42. The Soul’s record is 8-2 and their next game is against LA Kiss.

Other scores from week 10 were: the Orlando Predators got past LA Kiss 43-41, the Portland Steel hammered the Tampa Bay Storm 68-35 and the Arizona Rattlers defeated the Cleveland Gladiators 77-62.

In NASCAR, Kurt Bush won the Axalta ‘We Paint Winners’ 400 that was rescheduled due to bad weather the previous day. He finished ahead of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Kevin Harvick started the race in fourth place and finished the race in eighth. The next race is the FireKeepers Casino 400.
