The Saskatchewan Roughriders lost to the to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 53-7 in a one-sided game. Absolutely nothing went right for the Riders in the game. Riders quarterback Darian Durant attempted 28 passes while completing 18 for 235 yards and serving up four interceptions. The Riders’ record is 1-7 and their next game is against the Edmonton Eskimos.
Other scores from Week 9 were: the Montreal Alouettes beat the Ottawa RedBlacks 43-19, the Calgary Stampeders beat the B.C. Lions 37-9 and Edmonton Eskimos defeated the Toronto Argonauts 46-23.
In NFL preseason, the New England Patriots got past the Chicago Bears 23-22 in a close game. The Pats record is 2-0 and their next game is against the Carolina Panthers.

In Major League Soccer, Toronto FC beat the Philadelphia Union 3-1 in a one-sided game. Toronto’s record is 11-7-7 and they are in second place in the Eastern Conference.
Manchester United beat Â鶹ÊÓƵ Hampton 2-0 in a close English Premier League game. Man U’s record is 2-0 and they are in a tie for first place.
In Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays managed to win only one of three games from the Cleveland Indians over the weekend. Toronto is still in first place in the American League East Division.
In NASCAR, Kevin Harvick who started in 24th place, won the Bass Pro Shops NRA night race, finishing ahead of Rickey Stenhouse Jr. The next race is the Pure Michigan 400.
