The Saskatchewan Roughriders lost 24-6 to the B.C Lions in their final game at Taylor Field. The Riders didn’t play that well, as indicated by the seven quarterback sacks they gave up on offence. When the game was done, they had a video tribute which covered the history of Taylor Field. This was followed up with a fireworks and light show.
My favourite memory from the stadium was getting to see the Riders win the 2013 Grey Cup on home turf.
Other scores from Week 19 were: the Montreal Alouettes upset the Calgary Stampeders 17-8, the Ottawa RedBlacks beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 23-10, and the Edmonton Eskimos got past the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 29-26.
In the NFL, the New England Patriots beat the Buffalo Bills 41-25 in a one-sided game. The Pats record is 7-1 and their next game is Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Other scores from Week 8 were: the Oakland Raiders beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-24 in overtime, and the New Orleans Saints defeated the Seattle Seahawks 25-20.
In CIS Football, the Regina Rams hammered the Manitoba Bisons 55-21 in a convincing victory. The Rams record is 6-2 and they will face the University of British Columbia ThunderBirds in the Canada West semifinals.
In NCAA Football, the No.10 Florida Gators beat the Georgia Bulldogs 24-10 in a one-sided game. The Gators record is 6-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
Other scores from Week 9 were: the No. 4 Washington Huskies beat the No. 16 Utah Utes 31-24, the Wyoming Cowboys upset the No. 25 Boise State Broncos 30-28, and the No. 3 Clemson Tigers beat the No. 19 Florida State Seminoles 37-34.
In NCAA Division 1AA Football, the North Dakota State Bison got past the Northern Iowa Panthers 27-24 in a close game. The Bison’s record is 7-1 record and 4-1 in conference play.
