Edin wins second Grand Slam event

In the playoffs, he beat John Morris 9-1 in the quarterfinal and went on to beat Brad Gushue 6-4 in the semifinal. The next event is the Boost National Grand Slam.

In the American Hockey League, the Ontario Reign won both of their games on the weekend, beating the Iowa Wild 6-5 in a shootout and then they beat the Rockford IceHogs 3-1. The Reign’s record is 5-3-3 and they are in sixth place in the Western Conference.

The Regina Pats hammered the Red Deer Rebels 8-4 in a onesided Western Hockey League game. The Pats have won 10 straight games and they are in first place in the East Division.

In the Ontario Hockey League, the Windsor Spitfires lost both of their games over the weekend. The Spitfires remain in first place in the West Division.

Scores in the CFL playoffs were: the Edmonton Eskimos beat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 24-21 in the Eastern Division semifinal and the B.C Lions edged the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 32-31 in the Western semifinal.

In the NFL, the New England Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks 31-24 in a close game. The Pats record is 7-2.

Other scores from Week 10 were: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Chicago Bears 36-10, the Denver Broncos over the New Orleans Saints 25-23, and the Miami Dolphins edged the San Diego Chargers 31-24.

In NCAA Football, the No. 21 Florida Gators beat the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Carolina GameCocks 20-7 in a lopsided game. The Gators record is 7-2 overall and 5-2 in conference play, and their next game is against the Louisiana State University Tigers. It was postponed back in October.
