Cheers:
Cheers to the new Estevan fire hall, and kudos to city management for investing in this. The building looks great and will be great for the firefighters.
Cheers to all of the activities happening in the community this year for Halloween. It’s great to see fun and safe activities for children.
Cheers to all those who are getting their flu shots this year. It helps people be a little healthier as flu season approaches.
Cheers to the organizers of the antiques and collectibles show that happened this past weekend at the Royal Canadian Legion in Estevan. It has lots of cool stuff for sale.
Cheers to everybody who supported the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive for the Estevan Salvation Army on the weekend. It’s good to know the food bank’s shelves are now well stocked.

Jeers:
Jeers to those who empty their vehicle ashtrays onto parking lots and streets. If you can’t wait to get to a garbage can to empty it, hopefully you get caught and are given a littering ticket.
Jeers to the grading system now being used for elementary schools. All it does is encourage mediocrity among students.
Jeers to the person who posted a picture of their child, sitting on a toilet in full hockey gear. It was a kid who had to go to the washroom.
Jeers to the people yelling at Estevan Bruin hockey players. Not that they can't take it but at least yell positive things at the guys. It is supposed to be a hometown advantage after all.
Jeers to Affinity Place for not allowing customers the option of drinking their beer from the can as opposed to from a plastic cup.
