Cheers:
Cheers to the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins for a great start to the season. Two more convincing wins, and lots of goals to cheer for.
Cheers to the Estevan Police Service officer who changed a woman’s tire after it had been slashed. It shows the type of people in the local police force.
Cheers to the individuals and groups who bring internationally acclaimed pianists like Audrey Andrist and Teresa Walters into our community for some wonderful musical moments. They, along with our other talented musical visitors, need to be welcomed at all times.
Cheers to the Estevan branch of the Royal Canadian Legion for the great job they did of hosting the provincial convention. It was wonderful to see the legion members parading down Fourth Street.
Cheers to all of the small businesses that we have in the community. They sell great merchandise and they support a lot of causes in the community.

Jeers:
Jeers to people who don’t signal when driving their vehicles. It really speaks to their intelligence levels.
Jeers to the person who vandalized vehicles in the Estevan Shoppers Mall’s parking lot last week. This person is a disgrace to humanity.
Jeers to those who leave their shopping carts in the middle of the parking lot, instead of putting them in the cart corrals where the belong. It doesn’t take long to wheel them over there.
Jeers to those who don’t yield the right of way to school buses. When the stop arm is extended and the lights are flashing, you have to stop, regardless of which direction you’re travelling.
Jeers to those who have been speeding in school zones. School has been back for more than six weeks. It’s time to slow down.Ìý
