Cheers to the Estevan branch of the Royal Canadian Legion for bringing in such a good show at the end of September. The Johnny Cash and June Carter tribute band was awesome.

Cheers to Corinne Laviolette, whose volunteer position at the legion allows her and others to bring in talent and host sold out suppers for hundreds of people to enjoy.

Cheers to the members of the Estevan Fire Rescue Service for all that they do for our community. Estevan is lucky to have such dedicated people.

Cheers to the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins for the entertaining game they had against the Melfort Mustangs last week. Hopefully people realize this year’s team is a special one.

Cheers to the Estevan Farmers’ Market for the sales they held this year. There was a lot of great selection from the vendors each week.

Jeers:

Jeers to the woman who wouldn't stop talking so loudly at the Johnny Cash concert at the legion. It was so disrespectful to the people around her.

Jeers to the three people arrested for impaired driving in one night. It reinforces the need for tougher punishments for those who are caught.

Jeers to those who have been speeding through the construction zone on Highway 39 east of Estevan. It’s troubling when someone passes you while you’re driving 60 kilometres per hour around construction workers.

Jeers to the fact that SGI has to have a crackdown on distracted driving. If people were smarter behind the wheel, then such a crackdown wouldn’t be necessary.

Jeers to those who won’t use a signal light when they’re turning, or will wait until the very last second to signal.Ìý
