Cheers to Diana Aitchison and her crew of young people for working so long and hard to put on another frightfully scary Screamfest at the Estevan Public Library.
Cheers to the Estevan Comprehensive School’s girls soccer team and many volunteers who hosted the Provincial 3A Girls Soccer Championship in Estevan last weekend at Woodlawn Park.
Cheers to all of the entertainers, volunteers, donors and others who made the United Way Estevan’s telethon such a big success.
Cheers to the Estevan Police Service for their efforts in trying to keep the community safe on Halloween.
Cheers to the Â鶹ÊÓƵern Plains Co-op for organizing the Trail of Terror inside Woodlawn Regional Park. The setting was great and the kids had a lot of fun.

Jeers:
Jeers to a community fundraiser that asks for local support but purchases the majority of its props from the U.S. There are stores in Estevan or even Regina that could easily supply everything.
Jeers to the delays on the twinning for Highway 39 east of Estevan. Will it be finished before the end of the year? If the temperature has to be 5 C for asphalt, it might not happen.
Jeers to whoever was responsible for egging vehicles in the Hillside area last Friday night. Hopefully this kind of behaviour will stop after Halloween.
Jeers to those who were speeding on residential streets on Tuesday night while the children were out trick-or-treating. It created a risky situation for the kids.
Jeers to those who thought it would be a good idea to drive too fast, or follow too closely behind other vehicles, during the snowy and icy conditions on Wednesday.Ìý
