Cheers:
Cheers to the Estevan Police Service for patrolling Albert Street and keeping our school children safe from speeding motorists.
Cheers to the Estevan branch of the Royal Canadian Legion for hosting the Remembrance Day service. They always do a great job.
Cheers to Weyburn's "This ride's on us" program that offers free taxi rides home in exchange for the keys to a patron’s vehicle. Keeps the cabbies busy and the impaired drivers off the road. We need this in Estevan.
Cheers to all the fine folks who were so kind to a local resident while she was in the hospital and coming home.
Cheers to the Souris Valley Museum for hosting a variety of programs this fall that have helped local children learn about history.

Jeers:
Jeers to those who send their young children to school not properly dressed for winter.
Jeers to businesses that were unnecessarily open before noon on Remembrance Day. Some businesses have to be open, but most do not.
Jeers to those responsible for the latest round of fraud-related calls in the community. What’s worse is some people will fall for them.
Jeers to those who have been driving recklessly or dangerously, especially now that the road conditions aren’t as good as they were a few weeks ago.
Jeers to people who refuse to put their shopping carts in the cart corrals once they are finished shopping. An empty parking lot stall is not a place for a shopping cart.
