Cheers to the Royal Bank staff members who volunteered their time to help out at the Pure Energy Early Learning Centre and Estevan Daycare Co-operative’s annual work bee. The planter box they built will be a great addition to the centre.
Cheers to the Estevan Bruins for their effort during the Western Canada Cup. Even though they didn’t advance to the playoffs, they still played well in all of the games, and deserved a better fate.
Cheers to the volunteers who dropped by the new dog park in Estevan and helped out during a work bee. The grounds look better than ever.
Cheers to the students of Sacred Heart School who were involved with the science fair last week. The projects turned out great.
Cheers to all of the young people from St. Mary’s School who visited the Estevan Humane Society and read to the animals who are currently residing there. Ìý

Jeers:
Jeers to the apartment owners who do not take care of the million dandelions on the front yard. Then the seeds blow into the neighbour’s yard, and we have a mess.
Jeers to the people arrested for their involvement in the drug trade in Estevan. Hopefully they get what they deserve.
Jeers to those who continue to perpetuate the Canada Revenue Agency scam. I’m sick of hearing about people who have received this phone call.
Jeers to the design of the junction of Highway 47 and the truck bypass. The number of accidents is proof that a change is needed immediately.
Jeers to the truck driver who took out the traffic lights at 13th Avenue and Sixth Street last week. A four-way stop was temporarily installed, and it’s not a good intersection for a four-way stop.
