Cheers:
Ìý
Cheers to Nancy Knibbs and her students for their efforts to make the Estevan Comprehensive School’s recent Culture Fair a great event.
Ìý
Cheers to the organizers and the volunteers of Savour the Â鶹ÊÓƵeast for organizing an incredible event. It was a truly enjoyable evening with all the food and drink options, and the great music.
Ìý
Cheers to everyone who has been organizing fundriasers for the people of Fort McMurray, regardless of whether they’ve been a big event, such as the one at the DQ Grill and Chill in Estevan, or a small one, such as a children’s lemonade stand.
Ìý
Cheers to the Estevan Lions Club for donating money to so many different organizations last week. A lot of people will benefit from the support.
Ìý
Cheers to everybody who dedicated time to Operation Clean Sweep in Estevan. The City of Estevan employees did well, but it was great to see so many volunteers helping out.

Jeers:
Ìý
Jeers to the Estevan Mercury for their recent front page. Rather than have a story on the Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup, they ran something on a drug bust.
Ìý
Jeers to the motorist in a yellow Dodge Viper for parking in a handicapped spot without a permit at a local restaurant on Sunday morning. Many people could've made use of that spot.
Ìý
Jeers to seeing City of Estevan crews filling potholes in the Estevan Shoppers Mall’s parking lot. Hopefully, the mall’s owners will be billed for the work, and it won’t be a taxpayer expense.
Ìý
Jeers to the heavy trucks observed running a red light at the intersection of Sixth Street and 13th Avenue during the past week. Please stop putting the safety of other motorists at risk.
Ìý
Jeers to the criminal(s) who stole money from the Estevan branch of the Royal Canadian Legion last week. A very tough punishment should be their fate.
