Cheers:
Cheers to teachers, especially Michelle Hanna at Spruce Ridge School, for helping kids make a treasured gift for Mother's Day. The gifts created such great reactions when they were presented.
Cheers to the city employees for the good work they have done on repairing potholes.
Cheers to all of the early childhood educators in the community. They work very hard to develop and guide children by providing a safe and fun environment to learn and play.
Cheers to the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum and Mural Mosaic for giving people the opportunity to create a tile mural that is now in the gallery. It was a cool way to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.
Cheers to the organizers of Savour the Â鶹ÊÓƵeast. This year’s event was even better than last year, and it was great to have such a wide variety of vendors. Ìý

Jeers:
Jeers to whoever is responsible for the 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games signs not being removed from the city’s entrances.
Jeers to the city for the lack of control on dandelions on city properties. A sea of dandelions can be seen throughout the city.
Jeers to the Estevan Public Library for the editing errors in their publications. They used to be a lot better than that.
Jeers to the driver of a large silver-grey truck that parked so very close to another vehicle at the Canadian Tire parking lot, and put a dent in a car door that will cost $600 to repair.
Jeers to gossips who insist on damaging other people’s reputations. Either they don’t realize the implications of their words, or they don’t have respect for other people.
