Cheers to volunteer coaches. Your dedication to our children is much appreciated.

Cheers to everyone who has helped with the local youth basketball program over the years, and have made it a viable option for our kids. Because of this, we have excellent players who have developed a deep love for the game.

Cheers to everybody who helped make the Dueling Pianos concert for the STARS Air Ambulance Helipad in Oxbow such a big success.

Cheers to the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum for hosting a fun craft beer night, and introducing people to some great Saskatchewan drinks.

Jeers:

Jeers to seeing an out-of-town furniture truck being unloaded at a building at the corner of Fourth Street and 11th Avenue. Shopping locally needs to be a priority for everybody.

Jeers to the committee trying to bring Syrian refugees to Estevan. They should be raising funds for the homeless people and the other needy people in Estevan first.

Jeers to those who are criticizing the initiative to bring a couple of Syrian refugee families to Estevan. Most of the critics don’t seem to know all the facts yet.

Jeers to oilfield companies asking for my hard-earned tax dollars to clean up wells that you are responsible for in the first place.

Jeers to the people who committed thefts from local businesses recently. People work hard to make their business a success. They deserve better than to be ripped off.
