Cheers to the members of the Estevan Kinettes Club for all of the work they did in the community for this year’s Day of Kindness.

Cheers to the Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins for the thrilling hockey game played Tuesday night at Affinity Place, and for not giving up when facing a big deficit.

Cheers to those who brought the Montreal Canadiens Alumni to Estevan on the weekend. It was a fun afternoon, and those alumni are still pretty good.

Cheers to everyone who wore a pink shirt on Wednesday and showed their support for the fight against bullying.

Cheers to the Lampman Lions Club for organizing the fun sled rally. It was nice to get the snowmobile out and enjoy the scenery.

Jeers to people whose extension cords for their vehicles cross the sidewalks, and create a trip hazard for pedestrians. Block heaters are not more important than people’s safety.

Jeers to those who are having noisy parties. It’s going to be a long year if it’s already a problem in the cold of winter.

Jeers to those who are leaving their pets outside for the night in the frigid temperatures. If it’s too cold for you to be outdoors, it’s too cold for them, too.

Jeers to the gossips and busy-bodies who love to spread rumours without having the evidence to back up your claims. The rumour mill isn’t always accurate.

Jeers to two people who collided with railway crossing arms at 13th Avenue last week. Some people need to be a little more cautious when driving.Ìý
