Cheers:
Cheers to the Estevan Police Service for hosting the Coffee with the Cops event last week. It was a well-organized event and meaningful commitment to connect with community members and invite interaction and feedback.
Ìý
Cheers to Estevan city council for hosting two public meetings on the proposed new business bylaw. While the timing wasn’t the best, it’s good to see they’re listening to the public on this issue.
Ìý
Cheers to all of the communities and organizations who hosted Canada Day celebrations. It’s nice to have so many options in the southeast for people to celebrate Canada’s 149th birthday.
Ìý
Cheers to the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Club for doing such a great job of hosting the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour event over the weekend.
Ìý
Cheers to Creighton Lodge for the wonderful event they hosted to celebrate the completion of their lounge expansion. The lounge looks great, too.

Jeers:
Ìý
Jeers to businesses who fail to respond to customer requests. It forces some people to hire and shop out of town.
Ìý
Jeers to the young people who made a nighttime visit to the Estevan Community Garden and pulled all the carrots out of three beds. There must be better things to do.
Ìý
Jeers to flying the Pride Flag at City Hall. They are going down the wrong road with this pride thing.
Ìý
Jeers to motorists who refuse to stop for pedestrians at crosswalks. Are they really so busy that they can’t stop for just a short amount of time and obey the law?
Ìý
Jeers to the condition of King Street. Hopefully repairs for that road are included in next year’s budget. They should have been done years ago.
