Cheers to all of the people who entered floats, vehicles, horses and more into the Bienfait Canada Day parade. It was great to see all the entries.

Cheers to all the participants who played in the annual Firemen and Farmers ballgame at Bienfait's July 1 celebrations. It was very entertaining and there was great sportsmanship.

Cheers to all of the Estevan residents who put up decorations and flags to make the Canada 150 weekend even more special.

Cheers to all of the municipalities, organizations, businesses and individuals who held festivities in honour of Canada’s 150th birthday.

Cheers to Greg Hoffort for hosting the Adult Day Program at his campsite at Woodlawn Regional Park on numerous days, as well as arranging opportunities to tour around the park on golf carts.

Jeers:

Jeers to the Estevan businesses who did not have any decorations or flags, and who showed a lack of Canadian spirit for our Canada 150 celebrations.

Jeers to the poor quality of paint used on crosswalks and lines in Estevan. It didn't even last until the beginning of summer.

Jeers to businesses who have company functions, even though all the staff can't be there because they are working.

Jeers to the people who submit jeers to this newspaper. If you want to live in a better community, do something about it instead of complaining anonymously.

Jeers to the owners of loud vehicles and motorcycles who think that everyone should hear how noisy their vehicles really are. It’s a guaranteed way to ruin an otherwise pleasant evening. Ìý
